Club Paradise Resort Palawan ★★★★

The breakfast was good good..The beach and swimming were marvellous..No waves..The staff excellent..The rooms were clean and the incidentals much appreciated.

Reception were not helpful..They overcharged us by Peso 14,000. Also, I find it difficult to understand that an island surrounded by the ocean cannot serve fresh fish..It is all frozen..”Catch of the day “ is a myth.

My stay had been pleasant from the time I was picked up from the airport, welcomed at the resort, stayed in my villa until I checked out and been transferred to the airport. The staff were very polite, friendly, helpful and always delivered the service with a smile. Food in the Starfish Restaurant is very good. The facilities are superb. The tropical vibe is extraordinary. I'm amazed with how the property blended with its natural environment and its "other residents" - I mean the different species of birds, fruit bats, monitor lizards, sea turtle and schools of fish. The room that I stayed in was very clean and had a huge bed that can fit a family of 4. The amenities are very special and not your typical consumables that you find in any hotel. I specially love the turndown treats (local delicacies) being delivered every night. And of course, who wouldn't love a room with its own hammock and a private beach front? Also had the best snorkeling experience courtesy of Mang Carding who gladly showed me underwater, literally tagging me and pointing where the schools of fish and sea turtles usually hang out. Everything about this resort is just almost perfect for me. And I haven't talked about yet about my amazing tour around the main island of Coron, all arranged by this awesome resort.

Service efficiency at the Starfish restaurant was a bit inconsistent. In my first meal upon arrival at the resort, I had a pork dish which was served in 15 mins. For dinner, I ordered just a green salad thinking that it would be served quickly but waited for half an hour. The worst was on my third night. I arrived at the resto around 7:30 pm and ordered grilled chicken. It was served 50 mins later. The staff should have informed me of the cooking time as to manage expectations and maybe had some other options in the menu. I love the cart ride service to/from my room but it was a bumpy ride. So I usually just take a walk. The walkway leading to the villas needs better illumination at night. Would be good if room numbers are well lit as one can hardly see it when it's dark.

Managers were brilliant. Big shout out to Jorvik and Shaun for making our stay fantastic!

Breakfast was great!! But for the price of the food, food could do some improvements, more selections too...

the island itself was amazing no doubt but the highlight for me was the staff. they were very accommodating, friendly, & helpful. I also loved how much they cared for the animals around the island.

This resort should be 5 stars. It is absolute quality, and the staff are exceptional. The small knickknacks that are delivered at various times, even ice blocks given out to guests at random times. I've stayed at 100s of hotels and resorts, and this is probably the best. There's no need to think twice about this place. Just go!

The only small thing was we have young kids and sometimes had to wait a bit long for the golf cart to pick us up as we were quite far from the lobby, pool and restaurant.

The team and the resort manager did a great job! Very nice and accommodating ! Joeg is an awesome manager, he goes far and beyond to help his guests ! Will definitely coming back next year 2019. Noel , the tour guide did an awesome job when we had our island hopping tour, always ready to help you especially if you’re scared of deep water. He was beside me and my sister when we did snorkeling. I totally felt safe with him. The whole team did a great job! Kudos to Joeg the manager , Noel and the whole Club Paradise team! Will see you guys in 2019

Took over 40 mins for my luggage to be delivered in our room. I had to call and remind the front desk. Good thing they have bathrobes, it was hot that day and we had an early flight and arrived before the check in time ( it’s not their fault though) , so we were on our bathrobes after our shower until our luggage was delivered , I’m sure to some people it’s no big deal but I expect for my luggage to be in my villa when they escorted us that it’s ready, we travel a lot and this is the norm. I had to call the front desk to remind them about our luggage. When I met Joeg, he understood my frustrations and really went far and beyond to make sure our stay will be a memorable one. They did!!!

There is absolutely nothing i dislike about the property. I love everything, from the staff to the cleanliness and serenity of the location. The whole stay was pure pleasure from the very second we were greeted and picked up at the airport. The staff -without any exception- were extremely friendly, polite, well informed, attentive, and walked not 1... but 10 extra miles, i would like to highlight three of them who did walked even further more, Justin from reception, Ken from restaurant and Joegil, the resort manager who excerted so much effort to make every guest in the resort feel comfortable and safe especially during the storm surge. Needless to say, the entire stay was pure bliss, the resort lived up to its name, a Paradise.

I left my eyeglasses in the room and when I called the resort they "did not find them"... Breakfast was not good. Cold and dry pancakes. No free shuttle to the Island/ resort. They did not tell us about it and when we arrived at Coron we had to pay a LOT to get to the Island. And there's no way to get there unless you pay a lot to the Hotel services. It's a scam. To sum up, it's not worth it.

Manger is extraordinary Beach villa is exactly in front of the beach wich was extremely good. We enjoyed playing Ping pong and billiards. We enjoyed seeing the animals..

Spa staff !! They are not polite at all and they don’t have any idea about the services that must be provided ( we had facial therapy and full body massage , they were awful ). Food was not good at the beginning but the chief was so cooperative as he asked as what do we prefer and how to make it ..

This is my second time to come to club paradise to spend my vacation. But I’m very disappointed on this time. Besides whatever many ants on Gugong bar table when I drink or many ants in sunset villa’ bathroom when I check in, there was a very bad experience in restaurant when we had dinner on 29th May. 29 May 2018, when we had dinner at restaurant, we ordered a “chicken and pork”, a mango papaya, a Malaysia pepper beef. Waited for a very long time the waiter serve the first dish, which looks like fried pork, may be and fried chicken. Of course we thought that was the “chicken and pork” what we ordered. When we were eating, the F&B manager and a waiter came to us to ask is there any other dishes we order except the dish on table already. I told them there were a Mango papaya and a Malaysia pepper beef should be served. Then they served us a “chicken and beef”, a mango papaya, a Malaysia beef. We just found they served wrong dishes to us before! They served Fried pork to us which should belong to other table. At this time, F&B Manager said”May I add that pork on your bill?” What irony! He ask us pay for his mistake. In after all, we wanted to pay what we eat, I just asked him to give me a discount. F&B Manager didn’t say “Yes” or “No”or give me any feedback, he just removed the wrong dish from our table. I thought he found we were unnecessary to pay for his mistakes, so he recall that dish. When we checked bill, he added fried pork on our bill, and give us only 20% discount for the fried pork. Even my husband signed the bill, I didn’t agree with that. In my view: 1. Hotel served wrong the dish that should be free by hotel’s mistake. 2. If they recalled, we are unnecessarily to pay for the dish that not belongs to us. 3. The most important is in all process, expected to be asked pay the wrong dish, I didn’t get any apologies for their wrong! I have tried to communicate with F&B Manager and hotel Manager for this thing.

Choices of food in the menu. Breakfast should have more local food choices. Mud crab should be in the menu since it is available in the place

Disappointed about the food ! Was expecting sea food galore but sadly the prawns and fish was far from being fresh. All the other sea food in the menu were not available ! And the other choices was so so . What a waste !

Big advertisement to see the dugong in diving center but not possible to go ( i stayed 6 days) because not enough people. Fitness center too small not enough equipment. Need more choice in the restaurant ( real barbecue and more seafood)

The food. Basic dishes (eg nasi goreng, burger) were not cooked well and supposedly ‘on the coals’ menu did not taste anything like it. Plus the chicken was under-cooked.
